Who we are

AiJyot (aijyot.com, also served as astro.swarayoga.org) is a Vedic astrology application operated by Swara Yoga Peeth. Accounts are shared with the Swara Yoga hub at swarayoga.org.

What we collect, and why

• Account data — your email address, name, and role. Needed to sign you in and address you. Sign-in uses a one-time code emailed to you and, optionally, a password (stored only as a bcrypt hash — we cannot read it).
• Birth details you enter — date, time, and place of birth for you or people whose charts you cast. These are the working material of the service and are stored so your saved charts and readings work. They are never sold, shared, or used for anything except computing your charts and readings.
• Usage records — which AI features you used and how many tokens they consumed, kept for billing transparency (you can see the same numbers on your “My AI Usage” page).
• Security records — login events, IP address, and browser user-agent, kept to protect your account from abuse.
• Payments — processed by Razorpay or PayPal. Your card or bank details never touch our servers; we store only the payment reference, amount, and what it purchased.

What we do not do

• No advertising trackers and no sale of data to anyone.
• No reading of your charts or questions by staff, except when you explicitly ask support for help with a specific reading.
• Your questions to the Atulya assistant are answered first by our own in-house engines. When an external AI model is used, only the question and the chart facts needed to answer it are sent — never your email or identity.

Cookies

One session cookie (vh_session) keeps you signed in. It is HTTP-only and secure. There are no third-party or advertising cookies.

Retention and backups

Your data is kept while your account is active. Encrypted backups are taken for disaster recovery and pruned on a tiered schedule.

Your rights

Email [email protected] from your account address to request a copy of your data or its deletion. Deletion removes your account, saved charts, and readings; payment records we must keep for tax law are retained for the legally required period only.

Material changes to this policy will be announced on this page with a new “last updated” date.
